As an educator with over two decades of experience spanning diverse cultural and educational landscapes, I am deeply committed to implementing teaching methodologies that resonate with today’s learners. My international teaching journey includes experiences in Brazil, Singapore, France, and the United States, through which I learned that meaningful, relatable content could engage students more effectively.
As an Assistant Professor at the Bass School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology, I conceived and designed the courses I teach on the History of Animation (UG and Grad levels), Animation Studies (UG), Experimental Animation (UG), and Research Practices in Animation and Time-Based Media (Grad level). Central to my pedagogical philosophy is the integration of analytical reasoning and practice, a dynamic relationship that I leverage to empower students in critical analysis and creative production.
I am deeply invested in nurturing my students' research skills, believing firmly in the transformative potential of scholarly inquiry. Across all levels, I provide avenues for students to engage in research, publish their work, and present at conferences. My commitment to student mentorship extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by my involvement in guiding Graduate students through the development of their research methodologies and practical components.
